Most Christians are so mislead and lied to constantly that they don't have any chance of understanding. They quote a bunch of junk all the time that makes no sense at all. They are in for a big surprise when they get to the other side of life and find out everybody has been laughing at them for years.

sounds like you hit the spot on the question of everybody's minds. believers and nonbelievers. the fact is, everyone has their own opinion of their true christian.
sadly enough, some nonbelievers see christians as hypocrites, and some are. i wonder whether you are a christian because you sound like one that is, or one that's seen enough criticism to know that many christians are judgemental.
you're wrong, im right. you're going to hell (sorry for the language). jesus doesnt love you. what do you think you're doing. you're a sinner. you better get saved. this and this is in the Biiiiiiiible, so IM RIGHT YOURE WRONG.
ive heard all of these. the thing is, none of us have the ability to judge others. we're all saved through the grace of Jesus Christ, and he didnt judge others either. in fact, he hung out with the sinners. the prostitutes. the criminals. and the pharisees, which can ironically be the "christians" today, said, ugh. why are You, supposedly the Messiah, hanging out with Those scums? they're not Good enough for you. and Jesus replied, those who are well do not need a healer, but those who are sick do. (modern lang. modified version by me)
Now a true Christian. in my opinion, and it's quite true as well, is someone who truly honestly loves God. Obviously, he believes in the Lord Jesus as our Savior, but a true Christian loves God. This sums up everything. because if you Love God. you will talk to him daily, read his words to get to know him more, tell the world about how great he is, act appropriately so others will realize that you are different because God influences your actions, love on each other because it's what God wants, worship him with all of your heart, and you would listen to him. why? because you love him.
it's simple. a true Christian honestly and truly loves God.

This is what I believe and I have written it before in another question relating to somebodies question...
(Please not that I have noticed that Jehovah's witness' usually use that I line)
Firstly Christianity is a progressive walk and God deals with each of us where we are... He is the cut of the other answer please not it has some things in it that you have not enquired about...
A true Christian is some one working on the following and repenting for their wrong doing which is two fold (turning from sin to God.)

First, Ask God, let him verify what I say
I believe that working on your thought life helps you to become a better Christian. Phil 4:8, Jesus said in the chapters between Matt 5-7 about how if a man thinks about sleeping with a woman he has already committed adultery. Ps 13:2; Ps 94; Mark 2:8; Romans 1:21
I believe in modesty, but I don't believe that God wants us to look bad. Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit so look after it and keep it nice. Just don't be a stumbling block.
I know what you mean about the T.v shows. I watch Rove he is an Australian T.v presenter and his show is quite funny but it is regularly littered with sexualisation of people and inappropriate comments and gags. I have been feeling convicted to stop watching I probably should.
Banana's is good clean comedy and very funny and clever.
James 3 talks about taming the tongue it is very difficult, but acheivable.
Ps 37 - Ask God for the desires of your heart to match his.
Christianity is a progressive thing, don't beat yourself up, if it takes you less time to do something God has told you to do than last time - thats a step forward.
You don't swear where you usually would. Things like that
HEB 12:1-2 Keep you eyes fixed on Jesus the Author and perfector of our faith.
Do remember all sin is the same in God's eyes - in saying that don't throw yourself into new ones cause each of them have different natrual consequences. God knows how to get the best out of your life, allow him to guide you.
P.s Congrats on being a virgin and staying away from alcohol.
God Bless you Richly sister as you continue to Grow in the Grace Knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
You are beautiful, you are dearly and deeply loved.
Praise God that you have seen you errors and want to change them. Praise God, focus on God.
Hallelujah.
Your an inspiration.

A true Christian is someone who says they're a Christian, and then acts like one. They have asked Jesus to come into their heart and be in control of their thoughts, words, and actions. This does not mean that Christians are perfect, because no one is, but it does mean that they will do their best at following Him.

The bible says you cannot drink both the cup of Jehovah and cup of demons.
From the very beginning, there is one God whom the bible speaks of, there is also Satan, who, because he wanted to be as high as God created a diversion from the true worship. All other religion that is not the true worship belongs to Satan.
There are many things that professing christians do...they do not understand that tradition and other teachings which came from religions that is not the true worship. Unknowingly, they participate in activities that have origin from the devil but have been covered attractively in our days.
True Christianity is a worship of the One True God and follow the example of Jesus Christ, the Son of God...its members worship God with Spirit and truth.

A true Christian is someone who would never, in the toughest times, deny Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, that's what it all boils down too. A true Christian would stand up and shout it from the roof tops and not be ashamed of it!

You are generalizing. In other religions the same thing happens. and there are uneducated in every religion.
"What is Christianity?" is best answered by saying that it is a relationship with the true and living God through the person of Jesus Christ by whom we are forgiven of our sins and escape the righteous judgment of God.
What you must believe to be a Christian:
Jesus is God in flesh;
Jesus rose from the dead in the same body he died in; and
Salvation, or the forgiveness of sins, is by grace through faith. You cannot add anything to Jesus' finished work.

Kierkegard would say that a true Christian is one who has decided, in the face of rationality, to adopt a life of passionate faith, despite the fact that the tenets of Christianity are contradictory and ultimately make no sense. To be a Christian is to believe, fervently in one's heart, to the point where one experiences 'fear and trembling'. However, this passionate faith is entirely inwardly directed - you can't tell from looking at a person that he or she is a Christian at all.

2000 yrs. ago Salvation came to us as that of Jesus Chrit, our perfect attonement for our sins, Jesus had Apotles as his followers, & to prove a True Christian is a True One, & not a fake one, in Acts 2:44-46 And all that believed were together & had all things in COMMON, 46: And they continued daily with ONE ACCORD in the temple & breaking bread house to house---- Back up to verse 42. And they continued stedfast in the Apostles Doctrine & fellowship. friend if they do these things in one accord, as the Apostles of Old, They are on the correct path, But you have to also realized, not every christian can learn as fast as some others, that do not do away with their salvation,The Bible lso says let no man dispise thou youth.
