sometimes this can be caused by clogged pours,,, i would clean the area with a gentle cleanser,,,,, then use warm water to steam it, and wash with a soft washcloth,,,,look at the area closly to see if you see any blackheads or clogged pores, if so, try a peel or those bipore strips , and do moisturize also

Try applying hypoallergenic facial moisturizer each time aft your wash your face. It may just be a matter of too much sunlight and overly dry skin.

If, however, it doesn't go away after a while, especially if you've got the same condition on other parts of your body, and it itches, it might be eczema (or some other kind of fungal infection).....in which case, you need to go see a dermatologist, who'll advice you on the appropriate management and creams for it.

A very mild cortisone cream used for a short period of time should help. Hydrocort 0.5% can be bought over the counter. Don't use any harsh cleansing agents or exfoliants as that will only make things worse. Once it clears try using a good quality moisturizer.

Exfoliate to get rid of the dead, flaky skin... (facial scrubs/exfoliators can be bought from Boots/Superdrug etc) and then use a moisturiser on the dry areas a couple of times a day.

For most areas of your face try Neutrogena 2 in 1 exfoliating/moisturising pads available from Boots or your local chemist. I have tried them and they are very good. Do not use on lips. Try rubbing vaseline on chapped lips.

Sounds like it could be a mild case of eczema in which case using loads of products on it will make it worse. Go to your local health food shop and ask for a lotion. Chocolate and sugary foods make it worse as does the cold windy weather. If this doesn't work see your GP.

IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A BIT OF DERMATITIS, YOU CAN GET A CREAM TO TREAT THIS AT THE CHEMIST OR SUPERDRUG.
