many Indians ARE christians. others don'tcelebrate Christmas. that's kind of like asking if everyone celebrates the 4th of July.

Such a silly question. Indians are Indians irrespective of their religions. There are so many religions and the holidays are divided among them. Its not necessary that everybody should celebrate every holiday. If if it is a holiday, they relax, go out on a picnic or just enjoy with their friends. In fac there is nothing wrong if they celebrate along with their friends even if they don't belong to the particular religion.

perhaps you are not aware that post independence, India is the biggest democratic country in the world with diversified cultures and languages. Being a democratic country India definitely is not bound to follow one religion. Though it follows Hinduism majorly but at the same time there are Indians who are christians, sikhs, muslims, parsees..etc and they have every right to celebrate their own religious festivals and its not illlegal.
