Best estimates put his birthday between March and June and the year any time between 7BC and 4AD

Consider that not everyone was using the Roman Calandar at the time and that records were not very well kept or preserved outsde of the Roman Empire. Birthdays may not have been seen as important or relevant as they do today either.

The idea od December 25th comes from attempts to integrate Christianity with pre-existing religions, notably the European Gnosticism and Paganism. Dec 20-21 is Yule or the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year and an ancient celebration for the harvest and rituals to ensure the return of the sun. "Birth of the Sun" was considered an appropiate ritual to borrow and hence Nicia or possibly later on decided to make the birthday of Christ coincide with thsi date. This way existing people did not have to drastically change their habits and in time were integrated into a more christian ritual.

Spring time, March or April. In December the Shepard's couldn't of been out in the fields attending their sheep, it was winter, and in winter flowers don't bloom. The reason why December 25th was chosen is this is a period when the planets are in a certain alignment for such a special cosmic event of this kind to occur, and most Great Masters ( Plato for one) who were born of a virgin birth, arrived on this date. So this date was chosen by the eceseastic council as Jesus's birth also, of course they also tried their best to erase other Avatars births of this kind.
If you really want to know what it's all about and much more, pick up the book The Mystical Life of Jesus by H. Spencer Lewis.

It doesn't give Jesus' birthdate in the Bible but back in the 3rd and 4th century AD there were writers who did state Jesus was born on December 25. Cyril of Jerusalem (348-386) had access to the original, Roman birth census, which also documented that Jesus was born on the 25th of December! It has been claimed that Christmas is a Christianized version of several pagan mid-winter festivals. While several pagan religions did celebrate mid-winter festivals close to the 25th of December, Jesus and His Jewish people celebrated another holiday at this season (John 10:22). Christmas is more likely to be an entirely Christian holiday, complete with lights and merrymaking, inspired by its Jewish counterpart: Chanukah, celebrated every winter from the 25th of Kislev in the Jewish calendar.

"All that night Mary was restless so that neither of them slept much. By the break of day the pangs of childbirth were well in evidence, and at noon, August 21, 7 B.C., with the help and kind ministrations of women fellow travelers, Mary was delivered of a male child. Jesus of Nazareth was born into the world, was wrapped in the clothes which Mary had brought along for such a possible contingency, and laid in a near-by manger............."

If Jesus Christ weren't born on Dec. 25, does the Bible indicate when He was born? The biblical accounts point to the fall of the year as the most likely time of Jesus' birth, based on the conception and birth of John the Baptist.

Since Elizabeth (John's mother) was in her sixth month of pregnancy when Jesus was conceived (Luke 1:24-36), we can determine the approximate time of year Jesus was born if we know when John was born. John's father, Zacharias, was a priest serving in the Jerusalem temple during the course of Abijah (Luke 1:5). Historical calculations indicate this course of service corresponded to June 13-19 in that year (The Companion Bible, 1974, Appendix 179, p. 200).

It was during this time of temple service that Zacharias learned that he and his wife, Elizabeth, would have a child (Luke 1:8-13). After he completed his service and traveled home, Elizabeth conceived (verses 23-24). Assuming John's conception took place near the end of June, adding nine months brings us to the end of March as the most likely time for John's birth. Adding another six months (the difference in ages between John and Jesus) brings us to the end of September as the likely time of Jesus' birth.

Yes, christians are always saying that there is a lot of literature about jesus so they should have a fair idea of his date of birth. They should at least be able to find out when the census was held

The Birth of Jesus (born in late September or early October)

[19:22] When she bore him, she isolated herself to a faraway place.

[19:23] The birth process came to her by the trunk of a palm tree. She said, "(I am so ashamed;) I wish I were dead before this happened, and completely forgotten."

[19:24] (The infant) called her from beneath her, saying, "Do not grieve. Your Lord has provided you with a stream.

[19:25] "If you shake the trunk of this palm tree, it will drop ripe dates for you.

______________________________...
*19:25 Thus, Jesus was born in late September or early October. This is when dates ripen in the Middle East to the point of falling off the tree.

Did Jesus or his Apostles follow a religion called Christianity? Who were the first 'Christians' ? Who founded Christianity and do the teachings of Christianity conform to the teachings of Jesus?

The teachings of Paul, the true founder of Christianity, cannot be found anywhere in the teachings of Jesus or in those of prophets before him.

Jesus was God! So his birth is what is important not the date of his birth. God has always been and since God was there in the beginning and promises us the same eternal life for believing on his name this is reason alone to celebrate. Don't get hung up on facts or dates. Just believe in your heart Jesus died for you sins and God raised him from the dead. He sit on the right hand of the father and is a mediator for you.
