I'm not sure.
I'd love them to know that things will get better but then I think that about many people I meet with problems in adulthood. On here for instance there are 2 or 3 people a day who seem on the verge of collapse or suicide who need to know that live can get better.
But I also think this is part of the learning process. The first time you fall in love is so important it means life or death to you. With time you realise it was less important, but that first experience gives you a sense of the depth of your emotions. I would not want to go back to that sense of innocence/ignorance but I cherish the memories I have of that time and think of them as important steps along my emotional growth to what I am now. If it had all been too easy back then or I'd been more certain then I think I might trivialise now some of the things that are important.

have FUN ,,,w/ limited responsibility or none
and just let life be what it is,,, not a dramamatic thing ,,,,as far as whats coming up ,,again lifes what you make it "not dramatic"
but the burdens of responsibility are real and life can be tough!
and where there at now is most times easy ,,,,and care free,,,
and what they complain about trivial like moi says
HAVE FUN ! all types of safe fun ...,,,,,a right of passage in nj ,,nyc area where i grew up was everybody went to and its still going on,,, go to the nude beach ITS NOT an orgy nude beaches but it does give u perspective on human freedom most times ppl went in groups not with opposite sex of the same hs ,,,but most ppl went even nerds and loner type ppl 80% at least when spring came in senoir yr it gets you over a big issue of self ,,,at that time in your growth i would say its a good thing,,, but it was just fun and taught you not to have issues about dating and other drama i read here everybodys different and theres somebody for everybody so look around you may just find what you are looking for ,,,,if not keep looking girls and guys ,,,,but its 6:00am and what the he__ do i know,,,, but i get 2 points anyway

i wished. but, it's part and parcel of life. no doubt, when one is 60 years old one day, s/he will be able to see (then) just how trivial and funny things could be. but, it's the experience one has when s/he is a teenager which will make the 60-year-old one day. :)

Yes of course but that's what's so bittersweet about it. You don't typically realize that until it's too late, when you're inundated with real issues! If I could only have back the time I spent pining over high school girlfriends, sheesh!

Yes and no. Yes because it IS trivial to an adult, no because I like the angst ;-) Really no because they need to go through this stuff to get to the other side. I just wish they'd quit yappin about it. Their question was already asked...ad nauseam.

They are in a learning process and you should be a lil more understanding to their development and encourage there desire to understand. Did you ever think what you think of as a "Big deal" to others of a higher mental capacity may see you as a "Trivial" questioner? :-)

I WISH I WOULD HAVE KNOWN MY WIFE WHEN WE WERE BOTH IN HIGH SCHOOL.
WE WOULDNT HAVE HAD TIME TO POST ANYTHING ON THE INTERNET.

EXACTLY.
If they only knew that this "does he like me" crap is hardly worth wondering about. Wait until they have to wonder how they are gonna pay to keep the heat on in their house during the winter or how they are gonna afford a coat for their child.
