Everyone deserves to be treated equally. As you know I'm a Muslim, but I will leave that aside and look at this problem from a human side. Had some Christian priests done that and got the treatment Immams did, I would have reacted in the same way.
What's wrong with a prayer????????? Nothing!
Equality + Tolerance = One happy country

Even you have answered my questions about Muslims,so you know that I am tolerant of Islam and Muslims in general. But let's be realistic here....50 year old white Buddhists didn't fly planes into buildings.
Everyone deserves to be equal, and yes,it does suck that they profile all Muslims/Arabs.But that is America. You have so many different racial groups from so many different areas, with so many different beliefs, you have to use racial profiling.
America has lots of freedoms other countries don't have, but it can't have everything. How much offense should I have as a white male in 21st century America?Trust me,not a day goes by I'm not offended by something someone else does. But such as life.I don't make a stink about it.I just go on.
You live in Turkey don't you?Why is this a concern of yours anyways? You said you country won't let you wear a Hijab.

US and democracy, hahaha, who said the US is a democratic country might have not lived in the US,
Let us go back to Katrina, it effected mostly an area inhabited by blacks, look at their life the US has enough financial resources to build a democratic Iraq or a democratic Afghanistan, y couldnt they spend it to at least give the katrina effected areas to stand on their own feet,
If the US cant even consider the blacks (who r superior) as equals how are they supposed to be considered secular or democratic considering religion

No racial group should have such discrimination happen to them. Why should innocent folks be penalised for the evils done by others?
Would we like Hitler back again? Do we want the Nazi's in power?
I understand there's some paranoia about now due to recent events that appear to have been done supposedly in the name of Allah and Islam, but has it occurred to anyone with an IQ more than a lightbulb that things are not completely black and white?
Who would it suit to have war and strife? Who stands to gain? Religion is used as a tool, for control, for profit, for often great evil. This is a great shame because the reality is not the same as we think sometimes. The real message of the major religions, without the stupid insane interpretations put on it by extremists/fundementalists is actually peace and love. Shockingly, war, terror, punishments, strictures were not intended. Nope, stupid ******* mankind added those.
Think deeper than your Fox news. Think deeper than the shallow conspiracy theories. It's important for all of us to see beyond the deceptions in deceptions. It will suit many hardliners of all stripes for the return of various descriminations. Whether it's against Islam, or other religions. The racists have not gone away. If America is stupid enough to install knee jerk discrimination practices it will bring down a lot of evil upon itself and the world.
If a person commits crime, or there is sufficient evidence of a plot to commit crime, that is the time you pull them in, and deal with them. That time and no other. Evidence of guilt people. Not evidence of being Muslim or some other religion. Don't be stupid. Don't be so ******* narrow minded and Don't ******* let Nazism/Fascim back in by the bloody back door out of stupid goddammed idiotic ignorance.
I would say the same to Islamo-Fascists and any other extreme group who wishes to make the whole world believe like they do. ******* stupid.

Every racial group in this country has encountered discrimination in one way or another. Just take a look back in history. Unfortunately, I don't see much change in the profiling with Muslims. At least not for awhile. Just wait till things cool off and we catch Bin laden. Then, things will be back to normal.
In response to your question, democracy for all is the principle that runs our country, but it is not always given. Look at the civil rights movement as a perfect example.

with muslims you don't leave out religion, they always said they do it in the name of allah, That is only a slick way of trying to sneak into our school systems. Many do not know already in some schools in the USA are allowing Muslim teachings as a mandatory subject while at the same time not allowing the Christians a right to have their bibles with them, When I was in school back in the 1950's & 1960's we were given a new bible every year from the Gideons at the school. So why should muslims come into our schools to slickly try to convert the USA to their demonic ideals, & yet Christians has to keep their mouths shut. NO they don't deserve this right, If a Muslum wants to be in the USA, then abide by our laws, & not trying to Change our laws, We as Americans know very much how to run this country. I say to any foreginer,if you want to live in the USA, abide by our laws or get out.

Can you even believe the answers above me?
ppl keep telling me i'm a conspiracy theorist... but i see the beginnings of the holocaust when ppl say "no, they do not deserve to be regarded as human beings."
i loved my country and my city my whole life. i was always as polite as possible b/ i loved being here. you kind of fall in love w/ a big city when you grow up there. (i live in Chicago) but when i converted to Islam and decided to cover my hair, my city stopped loving me.
i've been pushed in front of a train. my best friend has been spit on.
i heard a speech where the Imam (spiritual leader) said, "Dogs are more honored than the body and blood of a Muslim." i thought this was too intense but seeing as how many don't see us as human.... i can begin to understand
peace to all,
Sakina

I think that profiling should be accepted as a valid law enforcement tool, and if the races being profiled do not like it, they need to get their criminal brethren to stop being criminals.
If I am a cop and in my area 80% of all violent crime is done by blacks, why would I target 80 yr old white ladies? I know who is doing the crime. Same with terrorism, since most of it is done my Muslims, common sense tell me to target them and not 8 yr old Christians children.

democracy is not stupidity.
If you had the ability to screen either a 80 year old white woman with crutches or a man in his 20's that looks Mideastern with a beard you would be stupid not to profile the latter.
