Disease. That is exactly what it is. DIS-EASE. Oddly enough the spelling of this word describes it to a T. Disease is exactly that, when your body is at dis-ease.

a condition of the living animal or plant body or of one of its parts that impairs normal functioning and is typically manifested by distinguishing signs and symptoms

There are many different types of disease, ranging from COPD(Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), to Alzhiemer's, to addiction, to Chrohn's Disease, to Heart disease....there are too many to list. Some viral diseases are the flu, stds, HiV, and there are tons more.
