It could well be the distributor especially if it has got wet

Quite possable the seal has started to leak oil into the distributor. Remove the dist.cap phillips screws next remove the spark rotor 8mm bolt. Now remove the black plastic cover small phillips bolts "see oil now" spray out with brake parts cleaner wash down really good. The rubber distributor cap seal will not be useable just discard it or cut some extra leingth out of it with a notch at the bottom to let future oil out of the distributor. I know Nissans that have run for years with a slight internal distirbutor oil leak. This repair works for oil on the ingnition sensor. Does not repair bad ingnition module.
