Death is inevitable... why not live (not love) life!
Worse than death is not being able to develop a goal and a burning desire in life! Human being is the highest manifestation in the cosmic life cycle. It is only as a human being one can gain enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and reach the stage of salvation (moksha).
Gaining enlightenment and finally salvation is no less an achievement. It can be achieved only after having crossed 8.4 million manifestations and a total life cycle of 96.4 million earthly years. Having manifested as a human being... how is it that human beings while away their life without having a fixed goal in life... a burning purpose... something that makes the present life more enjoyable and livable.
It is this power of discrimination that differentiates a king from a laborer (power of discrimination is almost absent in insects, plants and animals... all the lower forms through which all human beings have already passed). Where lay the difference? The difference is only in the mental prowess. The capacity to think... and think wisely is the onus of every human being... a birthright in fact!
Human beings do not manifest the form of a human being just to live for money. Money has never been the goal of wise people... it is only a means to an end! Materialistic gains no doubt are necessary to live a happy life but it is not the end of life as we see it today. The wanton desires not only within children but also adults’ presents a precarious situation world over.
Life is to be found beyond the mundane affairs of life. How many times has one climbed the Mount Everest, surfed beyond the capacity into the high seas, sat by a lonely brook in the high mountains with the Love of your life! Very few in the world are truly lucky to do that! It is these wise men who have finally taken their destiny under control.
Why worry of death which is immanent... it will come one day as it comes to all! As we have the day and night, fire and water we also have life and death... both being different sides of the same coin. Why weep over the inscrutable will of the Creator, the Almighty God who created us all!
Let us resolve to develop a burning desire... a goal of life which leads us towards the passion of our life... something we really enjoy doing! It is then we shall truly manifest our destiny and finally overcome the fear of death! More on desire here- http://www.vijaykumar.com/burning_desire.html

Is this a question about life or terrorism?
If the former, I think that we know nothing about death. It's all conjecture. Consequently I think we should concentrate on living as best we can. After all, death will come eventually whether we invite it or not.
If the latter, my view on embracing death is rather like my view on smoking. If people really want an early death it's their choice. But they shouldn't try to inflict it on others.

Life, Love, Goodness and Order are in one camp. Death Hate Evil and Chaos are in the other. How would you be aware and able to appreciate anything at all if everything was random and everyone was dead. I dont see the point of choosing Hate and evil.
I do however see the point of allowing the bad to exist for a time, else how could you choose the good? There would be nothing from which to choose.

whats the point in life if you dont love it? And you cant martyr yourself without first living life. If the sole purpose of life was to die they would be killing their kids at birth and no terrorrists would exist - go figure!
It is like any cult MADE UP to justify the modern cause.
Some religions may say there is pride in death but not without first doing good in life. Terrorrists have hijacked religion/ faith as their cause but true religous believers do not follow the terrorists reasoning.
That is why they are terrorists.
p.s. not a christian I am of no religous following.
I do belive in being kind and humane to others (unless the are rapists or child abusers)

Detach from both. There is no life or death, you live forever. Life is like a long-sleep, and death is the end of that sleep, the awakening. How little your dreams (activities in life) matters when you wake up! But this doesn't mean that you should wake-up (choose death), prematurely. Have nice and sufficient sleep.

Neither is better. Life is a classroom to learn. Death is only to the physical body, and the soul goes on. You must have life to have death and death to have life.

love life... because you can only manipulate or mould things in this life to how you want it to be...you have decisions to make, that can be made and choices.... but who knows what death is like? who knows what lies after that?? and who knows when death will come knocking for any one of us? so its better to love life and all it has to offer and all that you can get out of it...

It is impossible to say. is it better to like the color red or the color blue? i understand that the stances 'i love life' and 'i love death' seem more meaningful than 'i like red' or 'i like blue' but really they are not. all of it just makes that particular person what they are...
in reality, both sides are wrong for believing that the side they perceive as 'us' is the right side and the other side wrong. it is as silly, if you can really understand both sides point of view, as arguing that red is a better color than blue or blue than red.
Both sides are wrong for fighting.
No, they're not....HA HA HA (repeat forever)
