Hi, Im using thunderbird and whenever I send out messages it keeps on saying "connecting to SMTP server failed

does anybody know how I could deal with this?

Presuming all the settings are currently correct,the server might just be un-reachable for a short time due to traffic or whatever. Check settings and try later.

Hi, Can you receive mail? if you can it will surely be your settings.
Don't forget it's smpt.xxxxxxx.xxx.xx this is the most common problem. Your server is running if you can receive mail. So you should be able to send as well.
