mix a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda with lemon juice. this acts as an abrasive, restoring colour, and smells nice too. scrub it on, leave for 20 mins, then rinse off thoroughly. in future, rinse the bath after every use, and it will stop them appearing again.

Try a Bath Mousse or Ciff cleaner and just rub hard. You do need to clean the bath after every use though as soap scum builds up as you have discovered. Do Not use anything abrasive or you will scratch the surface and never be able to keep it clean. This may have happened before you moved in of course. Bleach will just cover up any dirty mark not clean it away!

Any well know brand of Cream cleaner (careful though,is it a plastic or metal bath, check the instructions) best way is to clean it straight after use and then it only takes soap and water.

bleach, cleaner, and a lot of scrubbing.
Scouring powders tear it up eventually.
