RESPECT is very important in a relationship of any sort , respect is how you treat someone, Listening when they speak, Helping out when need be , Respect can be defined so many different ways to make it simple to respect someone is to treat someone the way you like to be treated to show someone you you respect them is to show you care about there feelings and understand what they are saying

i define it as acceptance without imposition - I may not agree with certain things in life or with another person but we accept that they have differing views and ideals and i have the right to voice out my views but not to impose them on others. I value it because it allows me to appreciate differences in people and in respecting, i will have to be compassionate, considerate, patiend all the good things that we can be if we respect people and the things around us.
what do i expect or rather if there is respect then the should NOT be double standards.
How to show it? Listen to others and do not jump to conclusion. Practise empathy in our daily lives?

Admitting your faults when you're wrong. Treating them how you want to be treated. I value respect cause you get out of it what you put in. If she doesn't respect me I'll be damned if I respect her. Eye for an Eye. Not what everyone feels but thats my own personality.
