The Naval chiefs assessment must be based on the assumption based on the capabilities of the neighbours, which need necessarily mean that the threat perception is going to come to true, now. That is only a possibility, to meet which the military authorities must be prepared for. However, the growing military strength of China and its strategic military relations with Pakistan is a matter of concern for India. Please visit this site for further discussion, on this subject.

india is got fakhor air base in tajik or kazakh stans enough power projection to worry china and pakistan with jets reaching strategis locations in minutes and few hours both india and china are building blue water navies and india will be the third best navy in the world behind USA and britian by 2008 or 2009

China is trying to encircle India strategically.
They had built a nuclear naval base at COCO island in andaman sea.
They are helping myanmar,pakistan,sri-lanka and bangladesh to boost up their military to corner India.Indian leaders are not serious about it.They are still kidding.

ya u r absolutely right.
Its not only in th seas around us,but in land as well.china has formed a strategic partnerships with all of our neighbours.It has given Pakistan ballistic missiles more than th range which is prescribed by international laws.i dont understand why is thr lot of protests from th americans when v wants 2 buy cryogenic engines from russia.but thrs no law applicable 2 china or pak.most of th military equipment r of chinese origin.china is also supplyin jets to bangladesh.it has also helpin srilanka,male etc.it is buildin ports in pak,myanmar etc.thy hav almost reachd 2 th mouth of bay of bengal.
but no fear india has arrived on world stage.v hav a gud navy.v hav formed strategic partnership wi th world's sole superpower.atleast tht wil push chinese backwards.v r also engagin wit japan,south korea.etc.

Some stupid Indians in Singapore will learn Chinese and wash their feet and lick them clean, esp the ones from India, the local born Indians of Singapore and Malaysia do not give much damn abt the chinese they"ll stick to learning their Tamil language .
Indians should learn to be coorperative and start backing up each other before the yellow fever attack us

I totally agree.
My experience of working with chinese opened my eyes.
These guys hate everyone who is not chinese. They think they are very smart and everyone else is stupid.
Chinese especially hate Indians. Dont be fooled by the smiling faces of the visiting chinese businessmen.
I completely fail to understand why we are opening up business with China or even with Singapore. Singapore is totally pro-chinese, they will give business to Indians only if no chinese is available.
