I'm a police officer.
OK, they are both tickets. If you have to pay a lawyer to represent you, it will cost alot more than the cites would.
If you fight it, your going to basically enter the court going from your word against the officers. Who is the court going to find more credible?
I'm not saying you have no hope, but if you were drinking in public, and had alcohol, your defense is going to be what? Lie? And possible get charged with perjury too? That's NOT a ticket. If there is more to the story, go for it. Otherwise....
As far as being a cop, most officers have got tickets....speeding ( I have a few) that wont prevent you from being one. But lying will EVERY TIME.
Good luck.

Get advice from a Lawyer, even if its a quick call to legal aid, pleading guilty may be the right way to go but if it stops you pursuing a career then it may not be, they will have the right advice. Dress well, be on time, be remorseful and polite. Speak up and show respect to the judge/ magistrate. It may be possible that if you are a minor it will be quashed when you are considered legally and adult ask. Best wishes!

Ok, Look at WRAITH95's information.
Then.....LOOK at his Cartoon Picture....
Then LOOK at yours....
Then Look at MINE....
You're going to have to become a Wraith95 or Reggieman if you want to pursue a career in Law enforcement...
And he's right about lying.....DON'T
Admit to it...and ask that this record be expunged when you turn 18 or 21.....and verify that it has been.
I suggest a 2 year stint in the Marine's with training in the MP sector for starters......straight out of school...
Followed by 4 years in college WHILE training at a Police Academy.....
Once again, your degree should be associated with Law enforcement or one of many aspects of Law enforcement....Sociology/Psychology....[Forensic] Sciences...Administration...Something like that...
NOW WHY??? Because....you can do grunt work or with a College Degree you can Become a Supervisor...Lieutenant...Captain....Major...Police Chief.
A lot more options.....

dude you are really starting out wrong.. I was about to call you a looser but we all make mistakes. you just have to make some changes in your Life and things will turn around.
now the court thing- get legal help.. if you plead guilty you just messed up your record... do not do that please.. deny it or say it wasn't you. that road is long and narrow and it leads to prison..
be blessed kid..

if you are a minor you are entitled to free representation, why not take it and see? that offence will probably get you probabtion and/or community service, and considering you are a minor it will probably get wiped off your record at age of majority, but I would still go for the legal advice

Damn this will ruin your entire life... You are screwed! you are one step under a sex offender.... But they have laws to protect them. 90 days in jail minimum.. Juvenile hall is actually more volent and dangerous then county jail.
Start hitting the weights now. you need to pack on muscle. Beat some one up the first day or say good bye to your anal cherry.... get used to "new fish"
