i would think it's both...can we recognise happiness if we do not experience sorrows and vice versa? Also i think it's how we conceptualise love...for example a one-sided love can be painful but if we believe that loving is seeing the other person happy, then letting go would be painful but at the same time we feel happy when the other person is. sometimes the more you love, the more sorrow you will feel...it's complicated and very personal. Experience it for yourself

its upto u how u react to situations.if both r not too emotional persons then may be u can prolong happiness.if u r emotional then u have learn to deal with the sorrow part of it also.treasure the happy moments and erase the sorrow moments thats all i can say!

I think the sorrows outweigh the happiness. I don't have time for sorrow, so I'm staying single — and very, very happy.

Love gives only Happiness, it's we people who attract sorrows through misunderstandings, arrogance, trusting or confiding people outside of your relationship.
Love is not at fault, we are. We are responsible for its sucess as well as failure. Not a good idea to blame it.

Its a gods creativity or a physics principle.. every reaction has an equal and opposite reaction so love is again one of them if u have happiness you are bound to get sorrows.. laddu jo khaye to pactaye aur nahi khaye toh bhi pachtaye
