so there's this girl at my job who i started talking to and everything wuz goin good... she looked like maybe she wuz 23 but i found out she wuz 26, im 21 and i'll 22 in a few months... so a couple weeks later i asked her out and she shot me down?? does the age difference hav anything to do with it??

Some females prefer older males, for some reason. But the age difference between you is not so tangible. Nevertheless, its her choice, so you will just have to abide with it.

I might and it might not depending on the girl. Some girls at that age are looking for something more stable than what most 21 or 22 year olds can give them.
Most of my firends date guys about 5 years younger than them, it's all a matter of preferance to the person. I wouldn't take being shot down to heart. If you want to know why she did shoot you down, just ask her. Unless she's comepletly whacked int he head, she'll let you know.

There is nothing wrong with that as long as there is genuine love between the two. However it is only better when the man is older. Women age faster because of giving birth among others.

Maybe. But my boyfriend and I got together when he was 20 and I was 26 and we've been together now for 6 years and we have a 1 year old daughter together.

It shouldn't matter. 5 years is really nothing...you're in the same generation. My 28 year-old cousin is married to a 34 year old woman and they have the same interests and it's not a big deal that they're 6 yrs. apart.

It might be the age difference. Sometimes it's hard not to assume that a younger guy will be less trustworthy and more immature. Ask her.

you guys sometimes are less mature than we are.. Sometimes a man 25 seems younger than a girl 19..... (mentally, I mean)...
