Somewhere where there is plenty of flesh, places like ankle or the top of your foot, ribs etc are very tender and the pain would be very hard to take. So the back, shoulders and top of the legs might be a good idea. But its really personally taste, and also the design that your getting.

Good luck

I have a wolf tattooed on my upper back, between the shoulder blades. The only thing I don't like about it being there is that I can't see it with my own eyes. But other than that, it's awesome. I can hide it under any normal shirt, but I can show it off easily with backless outfits, low cut (in the back) shirts, and swimsuits.
As far as the process, I'm a slender person, so I thought it would hurt like h*ll. It didn't. The worst part was along the edge, where there was more flesh. It vibrated my backbone (cool feeling) but didn't hurt at all. Good luck to you...

ps As far as getting any disease from needles, be sure the shop you go to uses the disposable ones, and watch them take it out of the package. No worries.

it all depends on how often you want it to show. i have a tattoo on the top of my foot and i am working on a full back piece so my tattoos are visible a lot of the time when i am away from work (i live in louisiana so i wear flip flops and tank tops a lot) anywhere really, i have seen people with tattoos literally in every place on their body. it just depends on where YOU would like your tattoo to be placed.

There are no good places on your body to get a tattoo. This is something young people rarely think about when contemplating the decision. No matter where you get a tattoo on your skin, when you are older, it's going to stretch and it's going to sag and you'll be stuck with it for the rest of your life! Imagine seeing a big ol' tattoo on your grandmother's shoulder, arm, belly, knee, butt...wherever you can think of. Is that what you want your grandchildren to see in 40 years? I wouldn't.

It all really depends on what the tat is going to be. And if you work where it is OK for them to be seen. Other than that if you can take the pain have it put on your ankle or half way up your leg these are easier to hide with pants.

when I was in the Lied transplant center in Omaha Nebraska recovering from my liver transplant I met a woman who had also just recieved a transplant. She was certain that her hepatitus C was caused by a tattoo she had recieved when she was younger. I'm sure she didn't think the tattoo was worth it.

On your ankle or foot, and the lower part of your back. Just in case you need to hide it for an interview or something conservative.

Depends on what you want. I have one on the back of my neck and it was the most relaxing thing ever! I have one on my ankle, though, and it was the most painful thing I have ever experienced!
