The Bible mostly talks about getting drunk from the alcohol and that it is not allowed. Well, honey not in those exact words, but I have read it and that is the reason I gave up bartending. There was a part in the Bible that a family member showed me that basically said that if I was serving a person and they were getting drunk, I was just as bad as the one drinking.

The Bible makes references to drinking, and never says (as far as I'm aware) that one should not drink at all. It does warn against drunknness.

There is a thing called a Nazirite vow, where one takes the vow and then does not drink for the time that he is under the vow. But other than that, one is allowed to drink.

Of course, it is well-known that Jesus turned the water into wine. So alcohol itself is not considered evil.

But there are many proverbs against drunkenness.

Why would you want to drink even if the bible says it's ok. Alcohol is a poison that people take in controlled doses. It has no beneficial effect but lots of negative effects

Jesus drank wine. Drinking is okay as long as you do not get drunk. The danger with drinking is it easily becomes a controlling force in your life. Most people drink to forget and turn to alcohol for comfort when we should be turning to God.

well i know for sure it doesnt say we cant drink it! i mean remember Jesus turned the water to wine at a wedding once so the feast could continue, but the bible does say that we shouldnt do anything in excess, i think that means consuming alcohol as well

The Bible prohibits the consumption of alcohol in the following verses:

Jesus was at a wedding (back then the ceremonies lasted DAYS) and they ran out of wine, Mary, his mother, asked him to make some wine for they had ran out, he told her it was not time yet, but he went ahead for his mother... This was his first miracle...and it does not say anything about him drinking any of the wine, it just mentions that the ruler of the wedding feast drank it...

(Matthew 26:29) Fermentation destroys much of the sugar and alters what the vine produced, therefore changed and no longer new. Fermented wine is not the product of the vine.

The Bible tells us that alchol and drinking is a sin.. but tat doesn't mean that you cant drink alchol at all. after all Jesus turned water into wine. if you drink to get drunk tan tat would be a sin. if you are having a social drink tat is fine. Drinking alchol is not a sin, Binge Drinking is......... I hope that answers your question..

Some alcohol is useful to our body but to much or abuse drinking is harmful. If it is abuse you will get sick and that is sin. Our body is a temple of GOD don't abuse or distruct otherwise GOD will punished and that punishment is you will suffer so many illness to your body.

Corinthians 3:17

16(A)Do you not know that (B)you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.
