The Bible tells us to LOVE our ENEMY and to do good to those who abuse us....so how can anyone think it says anything about beating someone we are suppose to LOVE as Christ loves the church.

If you are a Christian...tell me the last time GOD beat you?

These things are misconceptions of those who hate the Word of GOD. It is a misconception by radical feminist also because there has never been a law anywhere that allowed a man to beat his wife with a rod no thicker then his thumb.

In reality, but Bible does talk about violent wives more then violent men. Check Proverbs 21:9, 21:19, and 25:24.

Still the bottom line is that GOD wants us to treat each other with respect and dignity. There are certain roles we each need to honor in marriage.

MARRIAGE...HIS DUTIES....HER DUTIES

In reality, there are just as many battered husbands in our society today as there are battered wifes. Regardless of who is the abuser and who is abused...it is Wrong!

Why do people have to beat anyone they "love"? it's sick and wrong. I don't know what the bible says about that. but I think if you love someone. you should NOT hurt them.

Parents beat their kids. Husbands beat wives. wives beat up husbands. God no wonder I'm so depressed this place sucks

I know we are not suppose to fight and to turn the other cheek. I am sure this falls into the same category. I am positive that if Jesus were standing right in front of you, you would not want to be beating anyone, especially your family.

Yes, New Testament, read Paul's letters.

Specifically, he says man and wife were made one flesh, and how can a man hurt his own flesh? Rather he nurtures and cherishes it.

Abusing your wife is absolutely not permitted in Christianity, don't let these morons tell you otherwise. Don't listen to me either, in fact, just read the Bible for yourself.

In other words...would you like to be beat on?

"In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. " -Ephesians 5:28.

I don't think you'd beat yourself, if you do or would you need to seek help immediate.
