I have a long history of voice/vocal chord problems...first thing, try really hard not to clear your throat...when you clear your throat your two sets of vocal chords slam together, this is not good...also don't whisper, this is almost as bad for your vocal chords as yawning...as for the throat, try to see your Dr. soon in case you have strep throat or another kind of infection...these are usually pretty easy to get rid of with medication....some people swear by drinking water with lemon, but avoid sugary drinks because the sugar can aggravate the throat...hope this helps.

You need to be more specific with your problems. Do you have a itchy throat or a throbbing throat? If you are also having a problem with your voice that might mean laryngitis.
