Is wearing a plastic bag whilst running a proven way to lose weight through oversweating and if so, is it safe on the body? What about wearing somenthing like a sweatshirt or sweatpants while running?

It is dangerous. You can dehydrate. Loosing weight by sweating a lot just takes a lot of the water out of your body. As soon as you drink you put the weight back on. Same works for diaretics and a handful of ford tablets. Eat a balanced diet, exercise, blah blah blah.

Umm.. it's not such a smart idea. Any "weight" you lose would be water weight and chances are as soon as you drink anything you'll gain it back. Not to mention it can dehydrate you and that's never a good thing. It's not worth it to put your body through something like that for a few ounces.

That is a bunch of hooey! The only thing you'll lose is extra sweat...which will be replaced as soon as you eat or drink! The only people this method is helpful for is boxers who need to lose a few quick pounds of water weight before a weigh-in- for everybody else it is ineffective. Water weight is replaced as soon as your next meal or drink.

No it's not a good idea. You will just be losing water, not fat. That will make no difference to the way you look, you will just be more dehydrated. You can overheat also and this will make you feel sick. Couple that with the dehydration and you will not feel well at all.

Does "WEARING A PLASTIC BAG" sound like a good idea under any circumstances?
