Do you believe Jews are smart enough to make a decisions based on their feelings and not what you perceive as a group thinks?
I think Mary believes God has a Son and she was Jewish. I think all of Jesus's Jewish friends thought God had a Son.
A better question would be do the Right Wing Christian Conservatives know God has a Son.

In the sense that God came down, impregnated a girl and she then had a child? Nope- that is a paganistic idea and found throughout the early religions of the Greeks and Romans who had Gods that had daliiances with mortals and created heroes through such encounters. Judaism does not have God in such an anthropomorphic form and God has never created a child in such a way.

But every human is seen as a child by God, and he is our father who loves us, guides us and when necessary, punishes us.

My Jewish friends have told me that they believe that YHVH is of only one spirit. They don't believe in a Trinity or such. They believe that Jesus was only a man and a great teacher but not a prophet sent by YHVH because no prophet that YHVH sent to us would ever declare himself to be the Son of G-d. So Jesus was just a great teacher to men and died and was buried.

They believe that YHVH promised a Messiah and they are still waiting for Him. He will be sent by YHVH but will not be His son. The Messiah isn't part of G-d. They believe that the Messiah will come in great splendor, in glory on a cloud with brilliant light surrounding Him. That He will look like a human man but will not be a human man. He will not be born as a baby in poverty and live like Jesus did. The Messiah will be in an adult form and will have a gold throne and a crown of jewels because He will be their king. He will preach and bless the Jews, YHVH's choosen people and will save them, whom they say are the true believers of YHVH.

And the Jews say: ‘Uzayr (Ezra) is the son of Allaah, and the Christians say: Messiah is the son of Allaah. That is their saying with their mouths…” [al-Tawbah 9:30]

Blasphemies

[9:30] The Jews said, "Ezra is the son of GOD," while the Christians said, "Jesus is the son of GOD!" These are blasphemies uttered by their mouths. They thus match the blasphemies of those who have disbelieved in the past. GOD condemns them. They have surely deviated.

Upholding the Teachings of Religious Leaders Instead of
God's Teachings

[9:31] They have set up their religious leaders and scholars as lords, instead of GOD. Others deified the Messiah, son of Mary. They were all commanded to worship only one god. There is no god except He. Be He glorified, high above having any partners.

I am not Jewish but was once married to a Jewish man. He said they believed Jesus was a great prophet, but not the Song of God. They believ the messiah has not yet appeared, but is still coming ...

I'm not Jewish but...

Jews believe the messiah is coming, but is not here yet, so they believe that he WILL have a son, but doesn't yet, at least that is what I think they believe. BTW: "messiah" in ancient times meant "he who will lead Israel out of occupation by Rome". Read between the lines for an rather stunning insight on this.

Not in the literal sense, as Christians believe.

In a spiritual sense, we are all God's children. And throughout the Bible, God refers to Israel as his "son".

Unfortunately, they missed Jesus! The Jews are still waiting for the coming of the Saviour. When Jesus returns, it will be the second coming. I hope they realise it soon.

no, we do not believe G-d has a son, nor do we believe G-d will ever have a son, except in the metaphorical sense of all of us being children of G-d. G-d does not become human and humans do not become G-d. thats a classical pagan belief, and judaism rejects paganism.

No. G-D is One. David was called 'Son of G-D' as was Solomon. However, G-D will never produce offspring, it was never prophecied that G-D will, thus, G-D will not.
