I have a fairly new LCD flat-screen TV. When I turn it on with the remote, I hear a loud click. What is that

Big possibility its the relay for main power just operate. In standby mode only small power supplied to the micon, when the micon receive signal from the remote to on, then it send signal to activate the relay for giving power to all circuit.

There may be a mechanical relay in the set activated by the remote. A very loud click does not seem right Does it sound like a mechanical click or an electrical spark? If it is sharp and loud like a spark, that could indicate trouble ahead.
