In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful
24:35 God is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The Parable of His Light is as if there were a Niche and within it a Lamp: the Lamp enclosed in Glass: the glass as it were a brilliant star: Lit from a blessed Tree, an Olive, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil is well-nigh luminous, though fire scarce touched it: Light upon Light! God doth guide whom He will to His Light: God doth set forth Parables for men: and God doth know all things.

Someone, or something outside of our universe, is responsible for creating everything within the universe...
However, we being within it, can never really know the true nature of anything outside of it...so the best we can do, is call it God!

I wouldn't. The dog doesn't define the man with the food. The clay doesn't define the potter.

God defines Himself to us in the Holy Bible. Any other "god" that you create in your mind is idolatry and is a sin.
John 1:1 tells us that in the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God.
To reject the Holy Bible is to reject Jesus Christ himself. You cannot make up a "jesus" in your head that allows to do the sinful things you want to do and then expect Him to save you.

He is Allah, the One and Only;
Allah, the Eternal, Absolute
He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;
And there is none like unto Him.

I love this question because we all get to see proof positive from all the different answers how people pretty much invent their own God.
I bet these individual 'Gods' also come with individual heavens and hells and rules for getting into them.
