When some body wants to learn anything properly, he/she should learn it from some body who knows the subject better than him/her.Learning is a life long process. So, your teacher is also a pursuant of knowledge.
Example--One can learn swimming with the help of tube etc. but to learn swimming properly you have to learn it from a coach & that coach have to take training from some body who knows the subject better than him to improve his skill. This process goes on.
