Except for the ingredients added to the bottled dressing to keep it from going bad over time and the fact it was cooked when it was being packaged they are exactly the same.

But for healthier I would go with the dry package, all it is, is spices and a noncaking agent (usually corn starch). - You do have to use it much faster though.

Hi Wild, I perfer the packets. You can put different things in it. Some times it comes out great.I really don't think either one is really healthy. Besides that,They say, all the food we eat will end up killing all of us. So why not enjoy yourself.

Powder packet can be reconstituted to your own taste, with alternatives like yogurt instead of sour-cream for dipping.

try the packet and adjust or substitute ingredients. you'll have a little more control over the final combination and can adjust it to your own liking.
