Amen to that. Its time for the U.S. military to take the gloves off. No more politics holding us back. No more liberal media holding us back. And no more Americans that are to blind to see that Islamofacism is a serious threat to this country holding us back. Lets get in there and kick some azz. Semper Fi

If it is the war in Iraq you are talking about, what have we been doing over there for the last few years. If we haven't been fighting a war, I am really curious as to why so many of our troops keep dying. I guess you people just think it is going so well that we should not consider changing anything.

If it is the war on terrorism you are talking about, how can we win the war on terrorism when we have ignored the countries that are blatantly supporting terrorists to go after one that may have possibly been supporting terrorists on some level or another that we don't seem to really be able to prove.

Cheerleader - why don't you sign up for the Army and ask to be on the front line in Bagdad?

Iraq has a population of 26 million people. About 50% of them are 17 years or under - these children are being taught in madrasas to hate everything American, and will soon been fighting against US troops by their 14th or 15th birthdays.

The US Army says that to restore order across Iraq, they need at least 15 soldiers per 1,000 Iraqis to provide adequate security in the towns and cities. Do the math: that's a US troop presence of nearly 390,000 soldiers on the ground. We currently have only about 170,000 troops and there is a lot of pressure to reduce that number. I don't see 220,000 people volunteering to support your program.

And that doesn't address the other fanatical fighters coming over the borders from Syria and Iran to join their Iraqi brothers against the 'Great Satan.'

Go read a few current events books to see how the man in the White House and his cabinet screwed up everthing their adventure in Iraq. I suggest you start with Fiasco, by Thomas Ricks.

You can't win a war on foreign soil...end of subject. Examples: The Revolutionary War (Britain lost), Korea, Vietnam, IRAQ. The only reason we won on European soil for the World Wars, is because the Germans were on foreign soil when we defeated them.

You are right, it worked so well in Vietnam. We were so much better as a country when we didn't win that war, and we will be even that much better after we don't win this war too. It's great fun. Yep keep fighting in Iraq, it's solving all of our problems.

And just WHAT more would you do that hasn't already been done? How do you EFFECTIVELY and DECISIVELY defeat an enemy that has absolutely no regard for human life, including their own. How do you pin them down so that they can be wiped out? Do you realize that this terrorist enemy of civilization exists throughout the entire world? So even if we could completely defeat them in Iraq, or anyplace else, they just pop up somewhere else.

The public has finally woken up.

We never needed to fight this war.

I believe the only way we could decisively win would be genocide of some sort of certain trouble groups...

but if you do that, you're no better than Saddam or Osama and what was the point?
