i have a good friend who i have known for almost my whole life. when i was 12 he gave me my first kiss. since then we have just been great friends but have always loved each other, but maintained our obligations to our religion.

about a month or two ago he approached me with the idea of getting married. he didnt propose... he just asked me if how i felt about this idea. i told him i definitely wasnt opposed but since i am only 18 and he is only 20 we should think about it a little bit more first.

two weeks from that i found out he slept with a someone on one of his business trips. he recently smoked weed. and also, he says that he has come close to having sexual relations with another man.

he claims that he was in a state of depression (both of his parents passed away recently) and that is the only reason these things happened. he is very sorry and wants to make a life together and do right by me.

does anyone think there is anything left to salvage here?

I believe the questions you ask yourself determine your life.
I am very impressed with this question. Please do not loose this skill you have.

does anyone think there is anything left to salvage here?
I think there is. Your worth salvaging. You a beautiful and intelligent person. At 18 years old you had the intelligence to put up the red flag even when dealing with someone older than you. You know the answer too. You just want to be told your doing the right thing. If this guy was perfect; I and many others, would say hold off if at all possible.
Something more important is to only practice safe sex. If your boyfriend is experimenting how are you sure he is practicing safe sex with his gay partners. He could have been testing the waters with you. To see what you would say. He might be dating a Republican Congressman or a church leader in Colorado having gay meth sex parties.
Tell him you love him and want to wait til we are older. If he breaks up with you and it turns out I am wrong I will marry you.

hi You dont say what your sales would be after the couple of years suffering on £14,000, yet assuming you will get a hefty pay upward push and you're quite keen on shifting out then........ you may look into self assessment mortgages, it quite is the place the lender is extra attracted to your means to pay then how plenty you earn. The expenditures of activity are on occasion slightly greater yet you may often borrow extra desirable than in the process the conventional course. The Cheshire development Society is a good business organisation to physique of techniques for this and you will finished all the place of work work on line. As others have pronounced you may evaluate the different expenditures incurred and then account for the on-going expenditures of charges and residing!!! even however in case you may cope with to pay for a 2 mattress room place you may take up a lodger to assist the funds. in case you're ineffective set on it however, save on with your aims and if it is going abdomen up a minimum of you tried, basically bypass into it along with your eyes huge open. sturdy success Dean

Don't do it. He doesn't seem that he has allot of issues to deal with (his parents) and maybe not even clear on which gender he would like to be with. He does sound like he needs a friend to lean on but you being with him right now does not even sound close to wise. Maybe if he clears his head and deals with the other issues then in time you will know if you guys are meant to be together. Trust your gut!!

Honestly I think he showed his true colors. Relationships are hard, they have there ups and downs, but those were extremes. Question is, will he ever be in another deep state of depression in his life?

well losing his parent (sorry to hear that)...has NOTHING to do with him coming close to sleeping with a man....or sleeping with women on the road. Maybe keep him as a friend, and help him through his jam...but the realationship, I would say no, but the decision is yours!

I think you are too young to worry about salvaging anything. You should enjoy you're youth while you have it. This dude already has too much baggage.
