From what I know any dog under 30 pounds can be litter trained using the purina dog litter method. We are using it with our chaweenie and it is going great and she will still go outside as well. Just do not use cat litter it is dangerous for dogs. Good luck!

I breed Chinese Cresteds. They come hairless or powderpuffs, which have a full coat. The hairless ones just need a little clean up of any extra hair, basically it is up to the owner's discretion as to how fuzzy they want the dog to be. They are extremely sensitive, intuitive and silly, sweet, perfect dogs. The skin requires some grooming basics, teeth brushing is very important as it is with all dogs, especially toys.
They love being indoors but also love to sunbathe in the summer, sunscreen is advised for long sun exposure.

Do not litter train them. Train them to go outside or use pads/newspaper if you won't go outside with it. Litter is too messy and not made for dogs, not healthy for them. The training of cresteds is pretty easy if you are consistent, they generally want to please their owners.
This is a breed that requires absolute love and kindness, you will be greatly rewarded. They are wary of strangers until they know them. They don't bite but they can have a big bark so they are good watch dogs.
Chihuahuas are very very different. More yappy and nippy. Nicer ones can be found if you are willing to hunt for awhile for one. Brussels Griffon have a short coat and would have the normal health issues of snub nosed dogs.
Feel free to contact me if you need any more info on them.

Good luck!
