Do you think maybe this country is full of people who 1) will not take control of their own s****, and 2) are hell bent on killing each other -- despite all thier glossy pr talking points about how all muslims are brothers? Oh! and 3) blame the great satan usa?

Hadeel.... I agree with you.
We live here in Iraq; you being Iraqi and I being a contractor that has spent far too much "outside the wire".
The Iraqis welcomed the change from Saddam and that fact is without question. The Iraqi people are NOT the ones always killing each other and this is evident whenever an insurgent is captured. They ALWAYS speak of a cell-leader giving the orders calling themselves "the Egyptian", or "the Syrian", or "the Iranian".
The country is infested with these fanatics who are above all else cowards with a lot of money to spend. The bribe, coerce, and force the Iraqi people into doing terrible things.
One of the latest tactic is to kidnap the child of an Iraqi male, and call him for the 'ransom'. That ransom is to drive a vehicle or put on a vest laden with explosives. there are many reported (and hundreds more UNREPORTED) cases of would-be suicide bombers being shot or remote detonated as they tried in vain to remove the device or not follow the suicide instructions.
Why do you not see more of these stories?
Because the insurgents are targeting civilian journalists and killing them openly in the streets just as quickly as Shiite Bakers and Sunni Educators.
Hadeel, you are right.... the borders need to be sealed and these Arabic insurgent foreigners brought to justice. There are numerous stretches of the border that are now coming to that point.... Once we do that, your fine Iraqi countrymen and mine will find these foreign insurgent cowards and bring them to justice.
Only then can Iraq be free of this interference (or worse) caused, financed and backed by Iran, Syria, and beyond.

The Iraq people have created a democracy and constitutional government.
They have a huge problem in that just about the entire world want this government to fail. Iran and Syria are sponsoring Shia and Sunni death squads. And other Arab nations are allowing people to go to Iraq in order to commit terrorism against the Iraqi people.
Even Europe is failing to support the democratic Iraqi government in an effort to punish the US for not 'doing as we were told.'

well, i spent 2 years in and around baghdad. there are some good and some bad, unfortunately, it is extremely difficult to tell the difference between the two most of the time. I never wanted to go there, but thats where we had to go, ive had iraqis pretend to be our friends and than 2 days later they are involved in an attack on our convoy. I think the us should leave them to themselves and let them figure their own s### out.

The Iraqis are in the middle of full-blown civil war. If someone had invaded the US in the middle of our civil war, they would have wasted a load of money, and then stepped back and let us kill each other off.

we are not like any of the 3 points you are mentions, but america came to Iraq to fight the terrorism, and the terrorist are here fighting america and killing iraqis, so we are not killing each other and we can control our country but your army when came here , left the borders open allowing thousands of fighters to enter here and worsen the situation.

what i think is that australia just needs its own people here and be australians, cause the reason why we fight and running out of water is cause howard is letting non australians come in to this country and stay,then they breed and theres just more and more people and we australians dont need to be in war
