What do you mean they appear when you come near them? Either you go to near them, or they just appear when you go somewhere. If it the case of the former, then just void them. Maybe it's that hot red hair of yours.

Birds love hanging around and pooping on statues,especially beautiful ones..Maybe they see you as a beautiful "Goddess" Statue.LOL
