Acts 15:28, 29: “The holy spirit and we ourselves [the governing body of the Christian congregation] have favored adding no further burden to you, except these necessary things, to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled [or, killed without draining their blood] and from fornication. If you carefully keep yourselves from these things, you will prosper. Good health to you!” (There the eating of blood is equated with idolatry and fornication, things that we should not want to engage in....since this is as serious as fornication.

We can understand this scripture to mean keep abstaing from blood, as in human blood. God created you with your DNA in your blood. Here's a question to help you, if a doctor told a patient to abstain from alcohol, would that mean just drinking it or iv - ing it as well. More importantly in this day and age of disease and viruses and hospital infections, wouldn't it be wise to heed the bible and follow the instruction to abstain from blood.

In the beginning Adam and Eve were given one rule - not to eat of the tree. Well we are given a similiar rule after the flood with Noah - abstian from blood Gensis 9:3,4

They are saying what part of the OT food laws still apply, and reasuring the commandments do with the idol comment.

Just my thought.

So what was the question?

It's the scripture. I can't really remember the last time that I drank anyone's blood, so I think I'm safe.

It's true. That has been a requirement of eating meat ever since the flood. Kosher is for Christians too!
