Maybe you have it on for too long...

Use a timer, put it on for an hour before you get up, so the place is warm in the morning, then set the timer for it to come on for an hour when you come in for the evening, and again for an hour before you go to bed.

Use the thermostat or boiler control to control to find the temperature that suits you - set it to a comfortable heat, not maximum.

Make sure you air your place for at least a half hour every day - some people are phobic about opening windows/doors when the central heating goes on in case they're wasting the heat - but I think it's very important to let the air through.

No...this feeling of drowsiness is like being drugged...I gat it from central heating nand I used to get it from paraffin heaters. I reckon it s something to do with lack of oxygen....

You probably have it up too high. I used to fight with my ex all the time he would whack it up to the highest setting and it would make me feel sick so I always turned it down to about 18-20.

Probably your body gets nice and warm and cosy and relaxes you. It does the same for me.

Try changing the air filters more often. maybe once a month or sooner.

the warmth helps relax your body and gives you a "content" feeling. Thus helping you to relax.
