RE:
Can I microwave those aluminum foil containers?
Those foil containers that they sometimes put the take out food in at restaurants for "doggy bags" and they put the cardboard top over and sort of push the sides over to keep it shut ... can you microwave them?

Only if you put it in a non reflective non foil no metal container and be airtight.. Dark coloured Glass jar with tight lid would work.
Why not Just heat the doggy bags up in a toaster oven? this is what I do! You can pick up a good used Toaster Oven at your local thrift store from $5 to $10. Actually the One I have only cost me $4.50. A wee bit dinted but nothing wrong with it otherwise!

I actually can micro those doggy foil containers, with the foil edges turned back up. When I bought my micro it had a metal rack and a probe in it. just as long as the foil doesn't touch the sides (rack removed) it does fine!. coffee cups with the metal (gold) rim micro well also. It does take a little longer to heat up, and should be done in shorter intervals and stirred frequently. As the metal gets hot. If you have any doubts don't do it.

No.
Foil reflects the microwaves away from whatever you're trying to cook or warm.
Occasionally small bits of foil can be used in a micro to shield certain parts of food as it cooks or defrosts.

It is perfectly fine to use. The worst that could happen is if something caught fire in the oven, and obviously yours did not. Also, if the microwave's internal fuse was blown, it would have to be replaced. But since yours seems to be working, it doesn't. And yes, the food is safe also.

YES! No aluminum on top though & don't let it touch the metal sides or metal bottom of the microwave oven. Place in ceramic dish to be safest.

of course you can't microwave aluminum containers, since aluminum is a shiny object, it may cause the rays of the microwave to deflect back causing to either explode or destroy...

NO NO NO. Only if you want to fry your microwave and possibly kill yourself. NO metal in a microwave, ever.
