I take all of my pills with water. But advil is the only one that has ever really had a taste. Usually I have so much water in my mouth I can't taste the pill (I take water first then the pill. too many pills taste bitter or sour)
Advil (the one with the maroon color coating)has a sweet taste to it. But I don't suggest bitting into it. The coating on the outside is there so you can swallow it before it disolves

the coating is sweet and has a sugary taste, but I never crunched into one. Prefer to take whole with a gulp of water.

it tastes sweet kinda like candy-that's for the tablets...the gel ones don't have a taste unless you suck on them for a while and then swallow them. but then it still taste sweet/sugary.

If you let it melt in your mouth it tastes rancid, bitter, nasty. If you swallow it down fast with water you dont taste anything.
