Everybody dreams, in fact multiple ones, we just may or may not remember. If you are curious what your dreams are, put a pencil and paper next to your bed and write them IMMEDIATELY when you wake up, yes it really does work!

My understanding is that we dream very often, but we don't usually remember them. I seem to recall reading one time that we have 30 to 40 dreams every night.

People usually dream during the stage of sleep called REM sleep, so I suppose you might not dream if you didn't have REM sleep. But if you didn't have REM sleep, you'd notice a lot of other problems too, like problems with memory and other psychological problems.

I don't usually remember my dreams either, by the way.

You probaly arent in a deep enough sleep. You need to be in your REM cycle. Also, there is a possibility that you are dreaming and just cant remember it. If you really want to remember your dreams, every morning wirte down exactly what you can remember as soon as you wake up. Hope that helps.

Dreaming usually does not occur unless you reach a certain phase of deep sleep. You might not remember your dreams too. If you do remember dreaming, you probably had enough sleep!

this is fairly simple,if you had a very busy or hectic day,you tend to not dream ,if you eat too much or are having a sickness before u sleep, you tend to have a nightmare but if your day went by quite blandly or you did not do much, you will normally be active in your mind thus forming dreams.if you are having troubles remembering your dream,u can try reading up on a precious stone called lapis lazuli which supposedly stimulates your mind

You do, you just don't remember! Dreams happen in REM sleep from what I remember...

I try to "daydream" before I go to sleep hoping I have a good dream ;)

You dream, you just don't remember. I remember very few dreams. But sleep studies have conclusively confirmed that not only do we all dream, we need to.

you dream every time you sleep, usually about ever 45 min (after a cycle of 4 stages), but almost always forget all of your dreams except the last one, and alot of times that one goes away before you wake up
