If you knew a friend that was of the same religion as you was in a realtionship with an atheist would you try to talk them out of the realtionship?

Happiness is relationships is completely chance anyways. Even if you marry a religious person there is no guarantee that they will be religious 10 years later (believe me, I know). Mention your concerns and then just be happy for them. If you are worried, chances are then there are others who are worried aswell. It is hard enough to be in a relationship as it is, don't make it any harder then it has too be. Not to mention in could push your friend in the completly different direction. They need you to be their friend right now, not their councilor.

Been there, adn it was a bad situation. My spiritual life went kaput, and idied inside. I was in love, but not with who I should have been.

found the best thing to do is stay out of it.
they only relationship I try to talk people out of is an abusive one.
the only thing you do is get the one or other mad at you.
