The vitamin E can't hurt. Give it time. I had several chicken pox scars on my face and they went away after about five years (yes, it took that long). Lasers would be a great option, but the priciest.

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

Vitamin E does help scares but in lotion form it won't help your face any due to the oils. Look into this website. www.facedoctor.ca
My sister had very bad acne and scars on her face. She washes her face with the soap and then applies the cream. Her faces has dramatically approved in months. This product is very popular in my state(doctor goes on the local radio) and I have heard nothing but raved reviews and seen great results.

yeah, vitamin e works well. buy some, and cut the pills, and rub the fluid on the scars. but be warned: it smells TERRIBLE!! you may want to stick some lavender up your nose while you do this (j/k.....but, you get the point). or, if you dont wanna do this, you can take vitamin e orally (in the capsule), but i would think that rubbing it on there directly works better....there may be some better smelling ones out there too, but the one that i used smelled absolutely awful--like rotten fish.

im sure it wouldnt make it worse but i would look towards peels and microdermabrasion for discoloration and mino scars.
if they are deep poc mark scars the most effective way is dermabrasion in which the outer layer of skin is removed completely. but it takes a long time to heal and can be costly so start with peels and you can use baking soda for at home microdermabrasion

Yes, it helps. ProActiv also really helps to heal those types of scars. There's also a scar treatment cream called Maderma (sp?), but I'm not sure it's something you'd want to use in your face if you're prone to breakouts. ProActiv healing lotion worked wonders for me!

I would recommend laser treatment actually, if it's within your budget. It works really well and usually costs a couple hundred dollars, maybe a little more. Talk to a dermatologist about it :)
