You're so lucky to live in Florence!
It's one of my favorites cities. When you read the word "Romanticism" in the dictionaries they should include also the word "Florence".
I love the spirit of that city, the old style of the buildings, the bridges, the Uffizi Gallery, the Giardini Boboli, Ponte Vecchio, Duomo - Cathedral of Santa Maria dei Fiori, and more more ...

my first time to florence was november 2000 then I went in May 2001 because I loved it so much. I just came back from Florence a week ago and I cant believe the difference. There is too much immigration and it has ruined the Florentine flavor I used to get when I went last time. The city has really gotten dirty and it is full of zingaris and god only knows what else. Firenze was much better 5 years ago!

I was studying in Florence in 2003 for one year. I studied in Florence Design Academy via Martelli 4, only 500 meters from Duomo. I was living in Via Ghibellina 50, Borgo and Via Paisielo in Scandicci. I like Florence. Nice place to visit and lots of historical spots. I love the food so much as well. The wine... the best... But unfortunately I cannot live there since it's too small for me. I need spacious place to live. Too bad I've had such a bad experiences with Fiorentini there. They stole my money more than 1000 euro in 1,5 months I just arrived there. Yep, my Fiorentina landlady Barbara Cardinally did it to me and the real estate agency didn't give me kind and wise solutions instead made me had to pay more until 1800 euro. Fiorentini also quite rude people, they bumped you on the street and impolite sometimes. But I had such a wonderful unforgettable times in Florence.

Each time I return to Florence I feel like I've gone home. I study Renaissance art and with Florence being the hub of this movement I'm in art heaven. It's a great city and I love nothing more than to sit in one of the cafes in the Piazza della Signora and as the sun sets, watch the bats circle the campanile.

Heaven

Buona fortuna

I have only been once and didn't get to stay for very long (only 2 days). From my short visit though I could tell it was a very lovely place. I am going back to Italy in a year and I'm hoping that I will have more time to explore your city.

i love florence! when we went back in march, i have never seen such a wonderful place. we loved the view from the top of the duomo and the boboli gardens. i think we were also so impressed by how beautiful the city looked when we were coming in from the autostrada. we are already making plans to return and spend more time there.
