This guy that I am dating text me and told me he was going to his friends house. He said that she was like one of his best friends and her boyfriend just broke up with her, and he is going over there to watch movies with her and cheer her up. He's also staying the night over there...because he said it was a long drive. I dont know whether to trust him or not. Im very protective of myself and have been in a lot of bad relationships...so i keep my guard up. I just dont know what to think.

Don't be a fool. Too many friends become lovers. How did you and he get together. If you feel uncomfortable, ask him to invite her to be with the two of you.
If that is a problem, then you have your answer. She should not be allowing herself to be consoled by your boyfriend when she just broke up with hers.

Actually whether if you should trust him or not depends on how you see things as a whole. If he is not your bf, I believe it doesn't matter how much trust you should put in. But I think you are right to keep up your guard but you mustn't let your imagination run wild due to your past experiences. Sometimes you have to learn to let go of certain things before you can start a new relationship. All the best to you

um... sounds a little weird for him to text you this info. I would call him and ask him how she is doing. From that conversation you might get a better sense of the situation.
And next time you see him, I would tell him that I was uncomfortable with what went on, even if it was platonic. I don't care how close he is to this chick, he HAS TO understand your point of view.
If he doesn't after all this? bad news, don't waste your time honey.

I think most guys I know are pigs. Ask yourself, has he done anything like this before? Also, ask if you can meet this woman. If he says no, I think you have a problem. If he says yes, do it. Check out how they interact with each other with you around. If you feel uncomfortable, there is a reason for it. Listen to your heart.

U shld give him the basic trust at least.. i mean, as a "fren" or dating soul.. or wateva, human doing, got is seeing.. one day u will know whether u shld start building trust on him or not. Give him a chance to prove that he is conscious clear.

If I -man whom you don't know and will not see his face- tell you to trust him , will you do ? and If I tell you don't trust him , will you you simply follow myy advice ?
follow your heart and do not base your emotional life desicions on mind only but on mind and heart too. if things have been happening many times , like you argue with each others about silly things and if you have times when you wish this guy get out of your life , then you do not like hime and s , DO not trust him .
If he likes you he woud not have put you under this hard test , he should respect your feelings , and it was good idea to ask you going with him .
