I just heard about Santa lending Jesus his sleigh for the Second Coming, and now people are proffering "evidence" that the two are related. Anybody what to explain this stuff??

ROFL! That was my question...

But can't you see Jesus flying through the sky on Santa's sleigh, waving to all his fans with a big smile on his face?

Good God, Santa, aka Saint Nickolas, was much after Jesus Christ!?

Here's something from Wikipedia for your refence :

Santa Claus, Saint Nicholas, Saint Nick, Father Christmas, Kris Kringle, Santy, or simply Santa, is a gift-giving figure in various cultures who distributes presents to children, traditionally on December 24, Christmas Eve. The popular American form Santa Claus originated as a mispronunciation of Dutch Sinterklaas, which is a contracted form of Sint Nicolaas (Saint Nicholas)

I don't know if they are related. Santa claus comes from the idea of the three kings that go to nazareth to give jesus gifts. and that is the basic premise. they rode on camels to get to him and that comes from the idea of reindeers.

but i don't know if the two are related from that. santa is more of a spanish idea.

Technically, We are ALL genetically related to Jesus, just like we are all related to each other. Not because of adam and eve, but just because of genetics and evolution. I guess either way you look at it we are all related.

Jesus and Santa Claus settled their feud in South park so now they are working together!!!

i wouldn't buy into the hype. But to keep the true meaning of christmas and the fun of santa clause, I tell my child that because Jesus loves us so much he gives US gifts to celebrate his birthday and santa is in charge of finding out what we want and delivering them.
