Islam may claim Abraham as it's father, but that is not Biblical. Read Genesis 16. Abraham had relations with a slave, Hagar, who gave birth to a son name Ishmael. This child was not the heir to the blessings given to Abraham, that would go to Isaac, the son of Sarah. It is believed the Arab people came from the family of Ishmael. Not all Arabs are Muslims, many are Christians.

Its a good question,
but didnt you realise that Jews dont use a name for God?!
the name that the Jews use and so many christians is YHWH
its all written in capitals like a an abbreviation, or a code and its not what the witnessess call him' Jehovah' coz there isnt a way to prove that YHWH is read Jehovah. thats just one unproven theory.
Jews lost the name of God during the babylyon prosecution because of being forced not to use it. later on they lost it. and rather now they pray to god without a name.
The Muslim name for God, اÙÙÙ is actually the same name that Jesus worshipped and prayed with, written particularly in this way. I just like to mention that Aramic -the language of Jesus- and Arabic use the same alphabets, and when written back to english it can be written in the both ways Allah and Elah.
I just found this on the internet,a hebrew website that teaches the Aramic name of God listen to the pronunciation, and you will admit the relationship.
http://www.hebrew4christians.com/Names_of_G-d/Elah/elah.html
Additionaly, the claim that that name was pagan is wrong. its just something that the missionaries made up to misguide people from the true religon. But they will not succeed because Allah said that his light shall perfect, even if the disbelievers disliked.
Final peace of advise, don't believe the missionary websites about Islam, becasue there main reason would be to disract you from this religon and call you to theirs. So whenever you are approaching a religon, ask its followers, not the otherside. Thats would clear objectivity.
May Allah guide you to his way

Isaac was the child of Promise (covenant), Ishmael was not so as God cannot lie, from Isaac came nations under grace.
And as He promised Abraham (not under covenant) Ishmeal produce many princes who thrived in the world. Ishmeal was born out of human choice, Isaac by God's grace, these never hated each other, not ever. The conflict that exist today, is by the lack of grace, yet by Jesus the Muslim people (gentiles) can choose God's grace just like any of us and many have.

It is true that both the Arabs and the Jews are the children of Abraham, but they have different names for God because they worship two different Gods. Allah was the Mesopotamian moon god worshipped by Mohammed's family and was therefore the one he chose for Islam. Muhammed did away with the original generic Arabic word for "god" and replaced it with the name of Allah, forcing all Arabs to use "Allah" for "god".

you say that Abraham just had relations with a slave girl. you are talking about a man of God, Did he ( Abraham have sex with her for fun) or is it more likely that God wanted this union that would produce the Profit Ishmael and cosequently from his family the prophet Muhammad. A person of God works only for God not to just have " sexual relations ".

First of all, both Jews and Muslims pray to the same G-d, the one G-d who has no physical children.
Second of all, the name G-d in Hebrew is different than in Arabic; each language has different names for G-d.
