Too much exposure to sun and nature fades the Tattoo, whether its freshly done or is there for last 30 years, this is the actual fact!

The color won't suddenly dissapear, but it will fade over time. You'll probably want to get it touched up at some point. One way to make the color last longer and look crisper is to use a high-SPF sunscreen EVERY time your tattoo will be exposed to sunlight. If it's on a part of your body that is generally visible, that means putting on sunscreen every day.

No that is not true, I have some that are 25 years old, and my Dad has some that are 60 years old (only had red back then). Tattoo's are forever, and I mean forever!

Depending on the location of your tattoo, you may (and probably will) need touchups eventually. So even if you color starts to fade, getting the color redone in 30 years shouldn't be that big of a deal, right?

I'll have to agree with Bob, I have some that are 30 years old and still are in living color.

it just depends if you take care of them.you have to wear sunscreen when out in the sun so they won't fade.
