My in-rules have 2. A 'seventy 3 and a 'seventy 4. the two have the 4 hundred. quite quickly, comfortable, and unfavorable on gasoline, yet they like them. inspite of the undeniable fact that, they have basically approximately no collector value. purchase it on account which you like it, on account which you will no longer make funds on it later. i'm guessing the seller has tried to cajole you that the vehicle is uncommon, or that there is collector activity in them. neither is real. Pontiac offered hundreds of those vehicles, and had it no longer been for the Arab oil embargo in 1973, that they had have offered plenty extra. once you're finding for some thing with collector activity, bear in mind that many times coupes and convertibles are far extra suitable to creditors, in maximum cases.

You need to check the "blue book value" there is a web site for finding value of vehicles. Do a search for "value of a Pontiac" or check "blue book" Good luck with your classic.

Look for comparative sale prices in Old Cars Weekly, Hemnings Motor News and other such publications, check on ebay, or consult a professional auto appraiser.

Through cars shows and people you know, you will get the best prices. Not through web sites, or car sites. A good bid or estimate is the best way.
