My girlfriend has 2 kids. How do I help raise kids that aren't mine?

Keep being there for all of them, and treat all of them as lovingly
as you would treat your girlfriend. Magically, over time great things will start to happen. Be patient, too because everyone will start to look up to you for support (advice, help with homework
and money). I know you might be a little scared. However, stay positive and think good things. Your life will be awesome!

Try to spend as much time as you can with them so that they can get used to having a new "father figure" around. They will eventually become more comfortable. Also, ask your girlfriend if she needs any help with the kids every now and then. She will really appreciate it.

It takes a special person to accept someone else's chn. as their own. Personally, I don't like to date someone with chn. However, I've observed many close friends and family members that have done so without a problem. They tell me it's impt. to be honest and straightforward with their significant other's chn. Those same people have managed to forge a good relationship with the chn.'s respective fathers and in-laws which benefits everyone involved. Raising chn. in general is difficult, so I can only imagine what it's like to play the role of boyfriend and/or step-father. Being on the same page with the chn.,'s mother would be impt. to resolve and avoid problems related to the chn. I suggest you communicate your concerns with your girlfriend and find out what her expectations are in this regard. Good Luck

who wants the caw wants the calf .....Just think that they are part of her....that she loves those little angels and she would be able to give her life to safe them......now if you are in love with her and you know she likes flowers what do you do? get her some right well in this case her life is her children can you join what makes her happy and the amazing thing about kids is that they will be the links for the strong chain will be between you too ...believe me

Don't try to be their dad, but be a positive role model... Know where your line is, and agree to that with your girlfriend.... don't over step that or you will have trouble with either the kids or you girlfriend.... Good luck.

well i guess you have to talk to her and ask what role you can play in helping raise the kids...some ppl dont like their bfs or gfs to interfere or disapline the kids...they are protective...but others dont mind...so i' d say to ask her how she feels first. id say if everything is cool then try to care for them as your own. it also depends on the age of the kids...teens and preteens would be like ,"ur not my dad i dont have to listen to u!" but younger kids would be like oh ...ok ...u can be my friend...or something like that .... so yea hope this helped you.

Ask her tell her what your feelings on it are. for example. I love you and your children i just dont know what i am doing though help me. or i want to help raise your kids are you alright with this

U SHOULD ACCEPT THE FACT SHE HAVE KIDS AND STEP AND BE THAT FATHER FIGURE IN HER KIDS LIFE TO LET HER KNOW THAT U WANT TO BE WITH HER AND HER KIDS. AND TREAT THEM LIKE THEY WERE YOUR ON SINCE THEY REAL FATHERS ISN'T THERE BECAUSE IF U HAD KIDS AND THE FEMALE U WAS TRYING TO TALK TO BUT DIDN'T WANT TO TALK TO CAUSE U HAD KIDS IT SHOULDN'T MATTER LONG AS EACH OF YOU LOVE EACH OTHER IT SHOULDN'T MATTER ABOUT WHAT HAS HAPPENED IN HER PAST.

treat them like there your own with care, love and respect and have lots of fun and in the mean time take care of there mum and show the kids how much of a good person you are.good luck

You treat them like your own kids, luv them and care for them and maybe you'll get a marage with kids that like you. spoil them thats what my moms ex did, i got a teddy bear and like a bunch of other stuff, but then they broke up and i burned it cuz i hated him for hurting my mom. I don't give a crap who you are no one gurts my mom and i told him off, also kicked him in the balls. I hope he didn;t on planning on reproducing
