When singing songs from the forementioned book, certain words throughout seem to be highlighted or bolded, can someone please explain to me the function of these words/bolding? It's driving me crazy!

I am not a trained singer but I believe if certain words on the same line of a song are bold and others are not, it is guiding the Cantor and congregation where to go up in pitch as part of Gregorian Chant. I have seen other word in italics which would indicate going lower in pitch.

With love in Christ.

WHAT BOOK OF WORSHIP ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT.

CATHOLICS GO BY THE WORD IN THE HOLY BIBLE AND NO OTHER BOOK.

THE SUNDAY MISSAL CONTAINS VERSES FROM THE BIBLE AND THE ORDER OF MASS WHICH HELPS THOSE OLD AND NEW TO THE CHURCH FOLLOW ALONG AS THE PRIEST PEACHES.

WHAT YOU ARE REFERRING TO AS HIGHLIGHTED OR BOLD ARE EITHER RESPONSES MEANT FOR THE CONGREGATION OR WHAT THE PRIEST IS SAYING.THESE ARE SOMETIMES SANG AND MAY AT TIMES BE IN LATIN.

WHAT ARE NA CHURCHES ANYWAY?

If they are a series of words they would be read (or sung) by the Cantor or the congregation (depending on where they are in the order).

Just my best guess as I haven't seen the book
