You had me curious! The label on white vinegar says "Made from select sun-ripened grain, diluted with water to a uniform pickling and talbe strength of 5% (50grains) acidity. What ever that all means. There's tons of stuff you can use it for: one teaspoon in boiling water will make fluffier rice, 2 tblspoons per qt of water to help boiled eggs peel easier, a bowl of water and 2 teaspoons to keep apples, pears, peaches, avocadoes and potatoes from turning brown. Just reading the label and there's tons of other stuff. Thanks for question I learned something today myself.

vinegar is made from over fermented/souring wine or cider, depending on the variety, for example apple cider vinegar is made from sour fermented apple cider and was refined to get all the pulp and impurities out for appearance. dont quote me completeyly though

vinegar is made from fermented fruit juices, usually coconut water, or pineapple juice. there are also vinegars made from fermented sugarcane juice. Those are the natural vinegars, also, vinegar can be made synthetically, acetic acid.
