I'm 18, this girl I met is good friends with me and is 17. We're at different schools.
She invited me to her school's prom with her. I replied yes immediately as i'm interested in her.
She also said in a text that she waits for guys to make a move on her, is this a hint?
But in the same text in the invite to prom, she said only as friends, but I think she's just saying that to make me do the first move, and she's maybe not wanting to be the first to "put thing's out in the open".
Are there hints here??

The text about guys always make the first move came before the prom invite text, to make that clear. Thanks for your answers everyone! They're great, all of them!

I think that she is definitely interested. She probably added the "just friends" in there to take the pressure or awkwardness off of her. She is sending you the text about her waiting for guys to make a move on her first as a hint. Definitely. So make a move, just dont be aggressive about it. Be subtle at first and make sure you watch her body language. If you think that she is uncomfortable in any way, then stop.

Let old Red give you some advice, at your age love is a complected issue don't get to involved she is right, go to the prom as Friends and and let things develop. Unfortunately not all men have the physic or good looks as me so if your an ugly so and so things will be a bit harder. Having said that if your outgoing and have a good chat line it does, doesn't matter what you look like. So don't worry about your looks always worry about your appearance and make sure your clean and ready for action
and carry a pack in your pocket just in case. Girls will often dump you at a moments notice if you don't have the experience and staying power but don't get tight about it believe me there always another one around the corner and a few years later you look back and think did I really go out with that. One last point always check her out if she is a sl?g drop her there and then believe me you don't want to go down that line. Theres plenty of good girls, these are the ones that let you down gently and don't sleep around.

shes given you all the "hints" you need, the reason she said as only "friends" is b/c she has already told you that she likes for guys to make the 1st move, she already has taking an awfully big step, but she doesnt want you to know that , she wants all the moves to be on you!! so pick up the pace hunny b/c youve got some catching up to do, looks to me that if this poor girl wouldnt have had the nerve to invite you to "her prom" & then try to disguise it, then you would still be day dreaming!! GO 4 IT & GOOD LUCK!!

The text "just friends" gets me a little confused. Besides that it sounds like she's interested. See how she acts at prom and if you know the feelings are there for the both of you then go for a kiss and see what happens from there! Good luck.

Well I say yes because ones she talks about a move is surely that shes interested in you plus why would she pick you instead of another guy to go to the prom.

firstly, she sounds confusing. and if she invited you to prom, then she made the 1st move. omg i just got it, i think. she invited you to prom, but only as friends and then told you that she likes guys to make the first move. so then she must only like you as a friend, or you would have had to make the first move. but you should ask her out anyway. people date friends all the time. just as long as you dont think that it will ruin your friendship

I think that's a hint that she says she waits for guys to make a move on her. Why would she tell you that if she only wants to be friends? You need to tell her how you feel and see what happens.

any girl that asks you to prom wants to get in ur pants... the just friends part is to pretend that she doesn't like you when in fact she does at prom just make a move trust me on this but don't talk much about it let her hang

she said as friends so you don't think that you'll "get lucky" and so that she can dance with other people. she asked you to her prom so why can't you ask her out??? your the guy so you need to do it. what are you waiting for??? ask her out already!!!!
