You are a cardboard copy of so many out there. Enough is never enough no matter what it is. A shrink would have a ball with you, and milk you dry. And...in the end....it would all be blamed on your mother. It gets me, how the mother is always the one to blame when it comes down to brass tacks. But lets try to go another direction. You mentioned that "happiness is never there for you". Just what does "happiness" mean to you? Can you label it? Can you touch it? Can you taste it? No you can not....because "happiness" is inside of you. Sounds like you have more than enough to make you happy....but your not....and you won't be until you come to grips with you. Probably sounds like double talk but it isn't....it just goes deeper than the surface, and you are missing out on so much because you have yet to find it within yourself. Do some deep soul searching...it's in you, this happiness you are searching for, but only you can find it. No one can find it for you.

I don't mean to sound patronising, but perhaps going and working in a homeless shelter or soup kitchen for Christmas instead of sitting at home in the warm, with all your presents and hot good food and plenty of it, shared by your loving family...should do the trick....Or else look to giving instead of receiving. Satisfaction is seeing the look of sheer joy on the face of a young Nepalese child when I gave her 2, YES ONLY 2 crayons to keep when I travelled to Nepal. We had to share then out with several kids and they all looked so thankful, it really hit home when I returned and saw my grand daughter playing with a huge boxful. We have too much these days and we then always want more. Less is more don't they say?

I know what you mean. I think everyone, at one point in their life feels that way. In my opinion, it is because the focus is put on how many "things" you have and not the value of them. Many times we think because we have alot of posessions that they will make our lives whole, but truly that can not really make us happy. If you feel a void in your life maybe you should seek God for an answer and pray to him to feel the void for you. I'm not sure what beliefs you have, but talking to Jesus and praying always seems to put things (life) in the right perspective....
If you still feel that there is something missing.. maybe there is a past regret in your life that you have not taken care of, like forgiving someone, letting go of negative feelings....etc..
Talk with a trusted friend or family member... about how your're feeling if you have that option
try to please yourself and not everyone else around you.. just focus on yourself and maybe you will find true happiness deep inside..

well depends what it is to you happiness.....people are different and they focus happiness in a different way.....In your case you need to figure it out what is happiness for you ...for some people what you have would be the happiness they dream about ...but you need to search very deep inside and find out what do you really want in life and whatever it is ...then if you do it or get then that can make you happy...of course for a while...as I know that happiness are only moments in life and never is complete....Just thank God for what you have as For others can be the biggest treasure ......job...happiness...health etc

You sound like a very sad and lonely person, but thats because you choose to be.....
Appreciate the things you have, love and enjoy your family, Have a different outlook on life when you open your eyes in the morning, It could all be lost in a blink of an eye,...for ever..So be happy, and enjoy

You are blessed to have everything as you said... But happiness ? how to have it ...maybe you have been happy at first as you get all this things as you've said, that's only temporary...This is life ...life is not just for happiness...just a mixture of sorrows too...Life is a cycle between happy and sad, ups and the downs...and its not about how you will be happy but HOW WILL YOU MAKE YOUR LIFE BEING HAPPIER... maybe by sharing your blessings to those less unfortunate means doing good things to others ...helping others making them happy touches your heart to be happy too. And don't forget to thank God for a good life you have ...

Have you ever thought about what does bring you happiness. If the things you have don't do the trick, then think about what does and spend some time going after them. Good Luck!

Because you could be missing God. Consider this things are great, they are but God is greater and that could be the missing piece. Maybe your faith is already strong. In this case I offer to you that it is natural for us as humans to want more! Our kids do it all the time. It is natural because like the Universe we are always changing. The Universe is always expanding.
