he's not really my brother but he basically is. he's always there for me. and we have so much fun together. we wrestle and have pillow fights and watch movies and write songs. we just have so much fun. now he's leaving for iraq and probably won't becoming home because he has a very dangerous job. i want to spend as much time as possible with him before he goes. one problem, my mom. she doesn't like him. she's heard "sketchy" things from his ex girlfriends mom. great source huh? she won't let me hang out with him so anytime i do see him it's basically behind her back. i feel bad but it's not fair. he hasn't done anything wrong. its just the way he dresses and stuff. he has his eyebrow, tongue, and ear pierced and he goes by spike. my mom's so stereotypical. i don't really know how to go about this.

i would not be thinking in the negative and think positively that he will return. if your and adult and can make your own decisions then you should just explain to your mum how you feel and hope she understands. if your younger then it will harder for you to go against your mum.

Well, it shouldn't be up to your mom. It's your life so don't let anyone get in the way. It's not good to say he probably won't come home because that just basically jinxes it. (can't spell) but don't be so negative. If you were to tell your mom that you've secretly been seeing him I'm sure she'll make sure you never see him again. Spend time with him because YOU want to, not because your mom doesn't want you to.

I know what you are going through. my big brother went to iraq and goes back next year. my ex is there now and i have to keep it secret that we keep in contact for certain reasons and i hope that your "brother" will be fine. say you are going somewhere and just dont tell your parents he will be there to.
